Meebo and the Coming Battle For the Software Long Tail

Meebo?  Honestly!  I don’t know one person who would use IM in a browser.  Am I missing something?

    People who would use IM in the browser are people whose companies’ IT departments block access to client-based IMs, also people who use several different computers and can’t/won’t install clients.

    See? I love smart readers. Living in a smaller company shelters me from things like this … luckily.

    I can also see how this might be useful at public terminals to talk with folks. Ok I can see it now :-)
